Holiday!!!!!!

Yes it is that time of year......Holiday time! Bliss and happiness. I am off for a break, fun and sun. Looking forward to chiling out and relaxing.

I have packed my bikinis, swimsuits, shorts, sunhat, sun cream, sarong, fitflops, shades, shorts, sun dresses, etc and hope I have managed to do a good capsule holiday wardrobe.

Looking forward to sea views....

Sea views, time to chill and relax. I love to daydream as I listen to the sea.

Hiya, I have been busy buying all sorts of wonderful Beads, Buttons, Ribbons, Flowers, Findings,etc to make some lovely Jewellery...Bracelets, Earrings, Necklaces and Hair Accessories. It has been fun putting together all sorts of pretty beads with all sorts of colours, textures and sparkle.

My Hair Accessorie Designs and a trip to Libertys haberdashey.

I recently had an enquiry from a friend regarding Hair Accessories as she will be a Chief Bridesmaid next year. She wants something a little different but still beautiful and wearable. So I mentioned a few options of Hair Combs, bands, clips and I have done a couple of decorative , whimsical tiara and coronet designs.Here are a few examples of some designs I have made.......

Delicate silk flowers and swarowski element diamantes make a pretty and feminine hair clip that can be worn with shorter or longer hair.

I also designed some Ivory Lace Butterfly and Pearl Decorative Hair Clips.

These cute smaller, ditsy fabric flower hair pns are ideal to scatter within a pretty hair style with accents of swarowski and pearl. 

More ornate larger floral hair clips with feathers for added drama.

Here is another Hand Made/ Hand Painted antique silk floral and feather Hair Comb in the gorgeous combination f gold and delicate pink colourway.

Some Organza Ribbon tied beaded hair bands. These have a vintage feel and are a bit different.

Lots of lovely bits and bobs at a favourite store....Libertys of London! Fabric flowers, ribbons, feathers, fabrics and buttons galore! I love it!

All sorts of ribbons and trims, fabulous selections from VV Rouleaux, a brilliant haberdashery.

I got great inspiration from my visit to Libertys    So much to choose from, also at the VV Rouleaux store and John Lewis Haberdashery. Have spent many a happy hour browsing these Haberdasherys!

Sketching and Fashion Illustrations.

The sun has been shining the last couple of days which is lovely and I have been doing some sketching and new fashion illustrations so I thought I would share some with you!

I have been inspired by the elegant Audrey Hepburn and her timeless style.....funny as I am typing this the dreamy song "Moon River" has just come on the radio! From her film the fabulous " Breakfast at Tiffany's"

I love using watercolour and some wonderful Brush Pens I got recently that are quick and bold to use for illustrating and sketching.



I think my style of illustration is feminine and quite whimsicle with a dreamy quality!

I am building up my illustration portfoilio and hope to find interest to get some published! So i will get back to my paintbrushes and pens, hope everyone is enjoying a creative and fun day. x

Shoe carousel.

I wanted to share some fun shoe displays I have seen recently. I love browsing the shoe department in Selfridges as the different designers have small boutique sections that look fabulous!

One display has gorgeous ballerina costumes to decorate the space...I love the ballet and it has been a great inspiration to me so when I saw this I just loved it!

How pretty is that?!

I also saw some fabulous window displays, this week at Selfridges they had fun fair inspired Shoe Carousel windows....

The windows looked fun and also had shoes that lookd like they were walking and others driving bumper cars! So i did a quick sketch.....

Another beautiful window display was at Harrods this winter as the windows were a fairytale theme a Cinderella style indow showcased a beautiful sparkling shoe......

Such a pretty display! I also found the cutest little pair of red sparkly shoes to put on my tree at Christmas!..

So I will continue to dream of shoes and the perfect Jimmy Choo's on another snowy spring day! Have a great day. x

Happy Easter everyone!

I hope that the Easter Bunny visited and left some chocolate eggs and treats to enjoy!

I do love really yummy chcocolate and one of favourites that I have shared with some special family and friends is Artisan Du Chocolat. They are so delicious and have such fabulous flavours. So if I deserve a little treat I may visit Selfridges in London to buy a little box. Here is a pic from when I had a visit.

These pics were taken around valentines so there was alot of pink and red packaging. Another store I visited this week was Fortnum and Mason and they had all the Easter Chocolate displayed to tempt everyone, and it did look inviting!



I love all the striped packaging on the champagne truffle boxes piled high! It is geat fun to browse around the food hall as well as Selfridges.

This time of year I look forward to all the blossom trees although it has been pretty cold this year but I hope to see all the blossoms out soon.

This was a pic taken in Sefton Park Liverpool  last year as the blossoms began to come out. So pretty,feminine and delicate .

So I hope you have a great Easter with lots of hot coss buns, chocolate, fluffy chicks, bunnies, flowers and egg hunting.

Now I am going to enjoy a coffee with some chocolate easter treats! Yummy.
